Meet our brand new Body Scrub!

Our skin produces about one million skin cells every 40 minutes, which equates to over 36 million skin cells per day!

As our skin cells renew from the deepest layer of the epidermis, the cells at the surface harden and lose their moisture. Eventually, these surface cells come away from the skin (known as desquamation) and are replaced by the younger cells moving up from the deeper layers. It usually takes about 30 days before the new skin cells reach the top layer of the skin. As we age, the speed at which our new cells form and surface cells shed slows down, making exfoliation a critical part of your skincare regime.

Why exfoliate?

Our skin is constantly exposed to pollutants and micro-organisms from the environment which can attach themselves to the surface layer of our skin. These superficial skin cells don't always shed effectively from our skin and may cause clogging and congestion whilst leaving the skin's surface dry and dull-looking.

THE BENEFITS OF EXFOLIATION:

Increased absorption of skincare products

Removing the excess barricade of cells from the skin's surface helps the ingredients in your skincare products penetrate through the skin.

Boosts circulation

The massaging action of applying a body scrub boosts natural blood circulation and lymph flow. This encourages the body to detox by releasing toxins and fat deposits that lie within the skin.

Banishes blemishes

Clogged and congested pores can be caused by dead skin build-up resulting in acne, pigmentation and ingrown hairs. Regular exfoliation ensures these dulling skin cells are effectively removed and new cells revealed for a fresher, healthier appearance.

Pre-waxing preparation

Exfoliating a couple of days prior to waxing will remove dead cells and let's the wax do its thing without the obstacles.

Improved self-tanning

To achieve a realistic tan, it's important to exfoliate first. If you don't remove dead skin cells then you run the risk of having blotchy patches as the self-tan will darken areas where more dead skin cells accumulate, such as elbows and knees.

Introducing our brand new Body Scrub!

We're excited to launch our eco-friendly body scrub. Made with 100% natural ingredients, we use Poppy Seeds, Demerara sugar, Himalayan Sea Salt and micro-fine pumice to exfoliate and stimulate your skin. Sweet Almond and Wheatgerm Oils nourish and intensely hydrate your skin plus our signature blend of pure essential oils calm any inflammation and clear your pores.

How to use:

Apply a small amount to wet skin and massage gently in circular motions for a few minutes. Don't be too aggressive as the exfoliating ingredients in the scrub will be sufficient to provide the abrasive action needed. Rinse off and pat skin dry. For best results, follow with an application of Folli Oil Daily Treatment Oil.
